Dr. Sepehr will prescribe medication to help minimize discomfort, and he may recommend other methods to help reduce these symptoms. Bleeding can also occur, and your nose likely will feel stuffy and blocked from the swelling for several days to weeks following the operation. Though rare, other side effects may include:

  • Skin discoloration
  • Poor wound healing
  • Infection
  • Numbness in treated area
  • Perforation of the nasal wall

In some cases, a patient may be unhappy with the results, often leading to the desire for a revision rhinoplasty procedure.
